My Story

My music journey started in 2014 with acapella and piano. Back then, AI tools didn’t exist, and even today, using AI to cleanly separate vocals into six distinct parts is nearly impossible. I started with MuseScore but eventually sought more features, and so I picked up Ableton — not to produce originals at first, but to manually break down songs and rebuild them into parts like lead, bass, soprano, and more. That early habit of dissecting music laid the foundation for everything I create now.

Before 2023, I was making all kinds of music, including game soundtracks and music for the underground idol industry. I did not have an artist identity and was approaching music from the eyes of a producer.

In early 2023, I leaned into deep house and began releasing tracks under my own name. Deep house was globally popular and radio-friendly back then. But after a few months playing at major Shibuya clubs like Neverland Tokyo and Jumanji33 (both of which played a key role in shaping my skill and sound), I realized it just didn’t fit anywhere in the night, from 8pm to 6am. Neverland alone pulled in over 800 people every Monday, and the energy demanded something else.

So I adapted. I began producing future bass that flowed better with tracks like Marshmello’s Alone, which was regularly played at those venues. In late 2023, I was promoted to peaktime slots where the vibe was full-on energy with tracks from artists like Steve Aoki and DJ TORA. That’s when I started producing hardstyle, and in February 2024, landed my first signing with Pyro Records. The release dropped in April and hit #2 on Beatport. It was my first time ever charting there, despite having almost no DJ network at the time.

Around that same period, a domestic trance organizer discovered me and said I had the perfect touch for opening sets — likely thanks to a full year of playing R&B open slots at Neverland. I knew how to craft melodic atmospheres that set the tone for the night, and from there, I began producing trance as well.

I don’t chase genres. I build music to match the energy of my own sets, whether that’s future bass, hardstyle, trance, or something entirely different. DJing is what shaped me as a producer, and I aspire to be a successful artist that plays open format over a wide range of genres, like I have been doing during my sets at Zerotokyo.

These days, I no longer hold weekly residencies, so I’ve gone back to producing whatever I like. Some tracks are made for the dancefloor. Others are just for me.
